Ini adalah lagu kesepuluh yang ada di album pertama U2, Boy.
Lagu ini adalah protes U2 terhadap penggunaan Electro Convulsive Therapy (ECT) sebagai terapi kejut di rumah sakit jiwa di Dublin, Irlandia sana.
Untuk keperluan live, U2 sering mendahului lagu ini dengan lagu singkat yang berjudul “The Cry”, hal ini terlihat misalnya pada DVD Vertigo Tour Live from Chicago.

Ada cerita unik dari lagu ini, pada live concert Under a Blood Red Sky, Bono menyanyikan “Send in The Clowns” milik Stephen Sondheim selama 27 detik.
Tindakan yang ternyata tidak berijin itu lantas membuat U2 harus membayar 50.000 USD kepada Sandheim dan U2 harus mengedit album yang khusus dikeluarkan di Amerika Serikat.
Bersama dengan I Will Follow, lagu ini termasuk yang paling sering dinyanyikan U2, lebih dari 400 kali dalam konser.
